Mission

“My mission is to support individuals and families in moving towards a place of connection, thriving, hope, and healing, through coaching, collaboration, and a shared desire for positive change.”

Values

  • I strive to communicate honestly and openly with my clients, to follow through on my commitments, and to encourage open dialogue, candid questions, and reciprocal feedback.

  • I have a very sincere desire to be upfront and transparent regarding all issues, particularly as it relates to the process of conducting services, communicating pertinent information, and the billing and fee structure for those services. I do not want the work that I do, my process of doing it, or the compensation I receive, to be a mystery to anyone. Trust is vital to the helping relationship, and these issues can sometimes undermine that trust. I try to be as receptive as I can to questions, and encourage people to clarify whenever possible.

  • Professional ethics are vital to a supportive helping relationship, as they provide a framework in which to avoid causing harm or deterring from the individual needs of the client or family. I strive to abide by the professional ethics I have sworn to uphold at all times.

  • I want to provide effective and quality care, which is why I am careful with managing my time and my workload. I believe that individualized and present attention is critical in supporting those in need of services, and I strive to embody these attributes at all times.

  • I have undergone a wide array of trainings and professional experiences, and am quite competent in working with various populations and people. However, I am also confronted with situations that are beyond my scope of abilities, training, and education. When this is the case, I will refer out to another, more equipped, provider. I provide only the services that I have been trained in and base my statements on the current recovery and treatment research. I use my personal recovery experience only when it can be helpful, and not as the only frame of reference.
